The Coaching Journey

Transformational coaching moves beyond simple goal setting (which traditionally uses the GROW model) to looking at your model of the world - constructed by things such as thought patterns, values, beliefs, cultural influences and life experience - to see what is preventing you from living life as you’d like to.


The diagram below gives a loose overview of how I coach. It isn’t always a straightforward linear process. In fact, it often goes backwards and forwards, much like life! Some days you’ll feel like you’re at the Thriving stage, and others, back to “circle one”. 


The aim of the journey isn’t that you’ll never feel like you’re just Surviving ever again, but to help you to take on new challenges that will get you into the Thriving zone more and more.
